Cyhoeddodd Llywodraeth Cymru yr wythnos diwethaf y bydd gan bob awdurdod lleol yng Nghymru flwyddyn, o dan Ddeddf newydd Iechyd y Cyhoedd (Cymru) 2017, i ddatblygu strategaeth toiledau cyhoeddus. Dylai’r strategaethau hyn fynd i’r afael ag anghenion iechyd a llesiant pob gr\u0175p yn y gymdeithas, yn enwedig y rhai yr ystyrir bod ganddynt anghenion ychwanegol e.e. pobl ag anableddau a rhieni plant ifanc. Disgwylir y bydd awdurdodau lleol hefyd yn ymgysylltu ag aelodau o’r gymuned i ddeall pa newidiadau sydd angen eu gwneud.  Yn 2017, cafodd HIA cynhwysfawr ar y ddarpariaeth toiledau cyhoeddus yn Ynys M\u00f4n ei gwblhau a’i gyhoeddi gan Huw Arfon Thomas, Rheolwr Gweithrediadau Iechyd yr Amgylchedd, Cyngor Sir Ynys M\u00f4n (gyda chymorth gan WHIASU). Defnyddiwyd yr HIA i gefnogi a llywio datblygiad y Strategaeth Genedlaethol sydd wedi arwain at y gofyniad newydd ar ALl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mae’r cyhoeddiad hwn yn dangos yn glir yr effaith a’r dylanwad y gall HIA ei gael ar bolisi llywodraeth genedlaethol, ac yn y pen draw ar iechyd a llesiant y boblogaeth. Bydd Llywodraeth Cymru yn cyhoeddi canllawiau statudol pellach yn ystod yr wythnosau nesaf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
